Expertise-Driven Musical Excellence
Growing up in the Tampa Bay Area, Daniel Donofrio discovered his calling for music at a young age. Getting his first guitar when he was nine years old, he picked up the instrument and hasn’t put it down since. In the fifth grade, he began playing the Saxophone in an after school band program, and the rest is history.
He attended Hillsborough Community College for his Associates Degree with Emphasis on music, located in the cultural Ybor City. While there he participated in many ensembles from Jazz bands to classical bands. In his final semester he earned the honor of winning the Performer of the Semester competition.
As a freelance musician, he has been playing for the past six years as a solo performer; combining acoustic covers of songs with his own original music.
Daniel began his career as an educator in 2018, teaching private lessons as an independent contractor. Now with almost a decade of experience under his belt, he has influenced hundreds of students in the Tampa area with ages ranging from 3 years old to 70 years old. He has students who have sought out professional musicianship themselves as a career, and maintains a close knit relationship with many educators and professional musicians in the area.
His main philosophy for teaching centers around audiation, as well as the belief that the best way to learn music is to apply it through performances.
